Meeting Rooms 1, 2 & 3Bird communities have experienced profound changes over time, leaving us with a wealth of “stories” about how different species with different life histories have coped. Join us as biologist and natural historian, Dave Ziolkowski, tells the tale of several iconic species while providing a long-term view of our fascinating birdlife. Dave is the director of the USGS’s North American Breeding Bird Survey, one of the longest running bird surveys in the world. His childhood interests drew him to ornithology, and he has been actively involved in wildlife research for over 30 years, both in the U.S. and abroad.
