Growing Cut Flowers is the subject of a meeting of the Joppatowne April’s Garden Club. Providing flowers non-stop through the season is our goal. Bulbs, perennials, annuals, and flowering shrubs will be discussed. Timing, planting tips, care, insect and disease control, and harvesting techniques will all be a part of the presentation. The program is presented by Carrie Engel the greenhouse manager at Valley View Farms. She is well known in our area. She appears with meteorologists Tony Pann and Ava Marie, weekly on WBAL TV's Sunday Gardener. Carrie looks for what is new in plants and gardening everywhere she goes.
