Meeting RoomWWI was the first war where women could serve in capacities other than nursing. Learn about this small group of women AT&T operators who joined the women's signal corps in France, their service in the army, and the challenges they faced. Presented by independent scholar and re-enactor Vicki Lynn Embrey.
Ms. Embrey is an independent scholar who studies the lives of women in history. Her focus is on the 18th century. In 2018, when working on celebrations for the the centennial of WWI, Vicki discovered the Hello Girls and became hooked on their history.
