Tuesday, January 12
2:00pm - 3:30pm
Norrisville Library
Meeting RoomLearn how historical maps can help you trace ancestors, understand changing boundaries, and place your family in historical context. Each person attending must register prior to the event.
Discover how historical maps can add valuable context to your genealogy research by helping you locate ancestors, understand changing boundaries, and better visualize the places where your family lived. We’ll explore how to find and use free online map collections and geographic research resources, including the Library of Congress and the FamilySearch Research Wiki. Geared toward beginners, the first half of this workshop will be a discussion, and the second half will provide time for Q&A and individual research.
