Presented by first-person reenactor Mary Ann Jung of History Alive, come learn the story of an outspoken and formidable colonial woman.
Margaret Brent, the first woman to demand the vote in America and the first female lawyer and landowner, was educated and outspoken - things women in the 1600's were not supposed to be. Meet the formidable colonist and learn about Maryland's founding and flag through Brent's adventures in the wilderness. The remarkable Mistress Brent also raised a Piscataway princess, so learn about local Native American culture and the dramatic first meeting of the settlers.
