8:00am - 5:00pm

The Wheelchair Costume Workshop brings together volunteers to create custom, wheelchair-accessible Halloween costumes for children who use wheelchairs as their primary mode of mobility.

Over two days, volunteer teams work together to design, build, paint, and decorate one-of-a-kind costumes inspired by each child’s interests and imagination. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome, and no costume-making experience is required. Whether you enjoy building, crafting, painting, decorating, problem-solving, or simply lending a hand, there is a place for you on a team. All materials and supplies are provided, and each team is supported by a Design Team Lead throughout the process.

Volunteers may participate Friday, Saturday, or both days. Friday focuses on building and early design, while Saturday is dedicated to finishing details and preparing the costumes for their final fittings. The celebration concludes with an Inclusive Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 3, from 4–7 pm, where the children can show off their finished costumes.

Come share your time, talents, and creativity and help bring a child’s Halloween vision to life!
